March is Social Worker Appreciation month. They have one of the hardest jobs in the world keeping children safe.
As our waiting list grows, the caseload of social workers grows as well. In the last couple of years, we have had a surge in new children in the court system due to the opiate epidemic. This means social workers’ jobs have gotten more and more demanding. There is no limit to the number of cases that they will have to handle at any particular time. They simply take as many cases that are thrown at them. They are truly our community’s superheroes in disguise. We can’t thank you enough for all that you do!
