How can you help the CASA program?

"We must care enough to give a little bit of our time so that children are not afraid."

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Santa Barbara County relies on the support of the community to serve abused children in the dependency system. As a small nonprofit, we depend on a network of volunteers and donors to operate efficiently. In order to ensure a safe, permanent home for each and every child there are several ways that you can contribute to the CASA program:

Vote for Us on Facebook
From now until July 14, 2010, you can vote for us through Chase Community Giving, a program that determines how to distribute funds based on votes. It's free, and an easy way to help CASA of Santa Barbara County. Vote for us today!

Become a child advocate
This volunteer role is at the heart of our mission. Our advocates are in direct contact with abused and neglected children and actively speak on their behalf in the courtroom.

Wish list
This list of possible in-kind donations is needed for our CASA resource room, as well as fundraising, awareness building, and volunteer appreciation events.

Donate now
This commitment can help support the costs of recruiting, screening, training, and supervising our continually-growing base of volunteers.

Join the CASA Auxiliary
The CASA Auxiliary is in the beginning stages of formation. It is made up of a group of individuals that want to help improve the lives of abused children, but do not have the time to take an individual case as a volunteer advocate. The Auxiliary is primarily involved in planning and executing fundraising events. The Auxiliary members donate an amount of time that fits within the parameters of their own busy schedule.  Contact Kim Davis at 805-739-9102.
